if you have a CD-Rom drive lying around, you can hook it up to the IDE channel in place of the thomson (make sure the yellow wire is still connected to the thomson and the cd-rom is in cable select) and split power between the HDD and the cd drive.  then, when it prompts for a cd, put a regular audio cd in the thomson, and the bios cd in the CD-Rom drive tray.  Close them at the same time.  It worked like a charm for me, even on cheap cd-r media.  Good Luck.

Once again...I used CHEAP 2x DVD-R from www.yesbuy.net (I think they're sky media)

now onto my dash update....  thanx again!!!!!!
