Yeah, I'm in the exact same spot. I had a pin stuck in, got it out, flashed with the x2 bios, tried to use the same cd to load EvoX and it just will not cooperate. Let's see if you've done all of this:
1. Erased disc fully t 2x
2. Loaded dummy files (1st tried 100mb, then 400mb, etc.)
3. Went out and bought Sony Cd-RWs
4. Tried Slayer's Install Disc
5. Tried disc over and over ad nauseam.....
I have a Thomson DVD by the way and am about to take a hammer to it. I just ordered a NEC dual format dvd burner. If it refuses to read the DVD-Rs I will take it out, take a hammer to the Thomson, post pics, and buy a refurbed XBOX and steal the DVD since people want to charge $75 just for a Sammy when you can get a refurb XBOX for $90. Anyway good luck, I'm tired of fighting it....
