ha, anyone who has filled LPC holes would consider themselves LUCKY (like me), i was able to install it with NO PROBLEMS! n e ways, it seems that you can solder, so now that you emptied the holes, just do a quick solder install or a pin header install now..........

Guys I really don't believe you have a bad chip...I could be wrong, but it really sounds like a connection problem. It could be your D0 point. That is a real bitch. Consider soldering to the alt D0 point under the motherboard.

There is DEFINATELY a contact issue if your boxes are fragging.
