Evox Dash ?
« on: September 07, 2003, 02:12:00 PM »

Question....

I installed a new drive and I boot into the EVOX dash ..no problem....

the issue is in the Evox Dash I can't switch to the MS Dash.

Is there something I missed??? On the orginal HD i was able to do this.

thanks

check you still have msdash on your xbox - you should have evoxdash.xbe (evox) and xboxdash.xbe (ms) however these names can be different so its hard to advise on a definite solution.  What xbe's are in your c directory?  and your evox.ini should refer to this file (the msdash - named whatever it maybe named)

if you have a modchip in then you dont need to lock your drive when booting msdash.

if you want to run msdash without a modchip - i.e. to use live - THEN you need to lock your drive

or you can lock the xbox hard drive from the xbox using configmagic

go to the xbox live topic on this forum, there is a big pinned topic about using the program!

If it were me, and it was, find the Slayers Evox ISO.  Go online and update your xbox live.  Boot to the Slayers Evox disc, i used a CDRW and it worked just fine.  Now you can do one or two things.  You can format your cd with slayers and start fresh or you can update your Evox and XBMP only.  I did both.  I also flashed my EEPROM while i was at it.  After this i was able to go from Evox to my MSDash with no problem using this:

Item "To MS Dashboard",@3

Hope this isn't too far off base.
