Chameleon Solderless Adapter And Screw
« on: August 24, 2003, 09:36:00 PM »

When they announced the "rivet fix" they mentioned that rivets would be provided to anyone who asked...  -I wouldn't dink around waiting for them myself - I've installed chameleon with both pin-headers and the "quick solder" method, both were quite easy, and I believe far more reliable than any pogo pin.  ask around if you don't know how to solder, I bet one of your friends can do it on the cheap ( and quick)...

Soldering isnt the issue for me. I have modded over 25 boxes. I need the ability to remove the chip fairly quickly and using a desoldering iron isnt the quickest method.

Like I said before I have tried contacting both EB2K and Xodus with no response a number of times.

Just wondering how many other people have had this problem.

BTW I contacted EB2K the day the reivets were announced and twice since. Still no reply.

Please note that if you purchased your Order with a Credit Card, you will need to have an Order number. If you didn’t purchase your Order with a Credit Card then please write down the payment mode(like COD, Money Order, PAYPAL, Mod Chip of America, etc.)

Please be aware that you are authorized to fill out the RMA form ONLY ONCE unless you are asked to do so again.

well i finally got hold of them after sitting on hold for quite a long time i almost gave up and a friend told me they offer live online support now.. its kind of a long wait unless you logon first thing in the morning from what the service rep said and its about the only way to get hold of them in any type of decent response time.

They were very apologetic and are sending the rivets and the screw at no cost. All the reuire is an order number to prove that you purchased the adapter from them befor ethe rivets were available.

So for those fo you in my situation check out easybuy2000.com in the uppser left corner i beleive of EVERY page now on there site is the live support link.

I almost gave gave up and thought wrongly of this company. Guess they just need a few more emplyess to respond a little quicker to there requests.

I've had nothing but the best service from easybuy. I ordered my chip about a day too late to get the rivets. But I emailed them yestarday and had a reply from them in about 10 minutes. Fastest response to a tech email ever. They are shipping them to me free of charge.

They also got me the original chip within 4 days.

I've got nothing but good things to say, but usually I'm on the other end.

Oh I just thought of one bad thing... They did claim that what I originally ordered would work with any xbox solderlessly.
