My Xbox suddenly has no IP. I disconnected it from my router and connected it to my laptop with a crossover, but still no IP. Is something going on? I don't connect to Xbox live, but My Xbox is connected to the router, which means that it has internet access. Was there an update sent out? Can someone help?

does your router hand out IP's via dhcp?

if so you will have to manually set the ip of your xbox

I use Direcway for access, so the router is actually a glorified hub, as the router side is not even in use. I also tried direct connecting with a crossover and still get no IP. Thanks for the suggestion though. It has been a long time ( a month or so) since I have tried to access the xbox, but I had no problems before. When I boot the xbox evolution x dash says there is no IP.

I just tried to Telnet the xbox and no dice. It's sort of like the xbox network connector went dead. Anybody else ever had this problem?
