What NOT To Post In This Forum
« on: August 20, 2003, 10:25:00 AM »

There have been far too many users that are relatively new to the scene and are unsure of what mod chip or BIOS they should be using.  Most of these users look around, read the feature comparisons, read others' opinions of the mod chips and/or BIOS releases, and decide on their own which to use.  Some are lucky and have a MultiBIOS option, so they can choose as many as 4 different BIOS releases instead of one.  Others, however, will create a thread JUST so everyone can advise them on what mod chip or BIOS they should use.  We're also seeing a lot of "Mod Chip 1 vs Mod Chip 2" threads and "Which Mod Chip Is Better Threads?"  Please refrain from creating any such threads.

A comparison charts of the more widely-used and more highly-recommended mod chips can be found here: http://www.xbox-scene.com/modchips.php
A comparison charts of the BIOS releases can be found here: http://www.xbox-scene.com/bios.php

As noted, please read these feature charts and decide for yourself.  If still unsure, search the forums for the name of the mod chip or BIOS release - surely you will see plenty of opinions about it, or recommendations on whether or not to use it.  By the same token, if you do not understand a feature, you can search the forum for that and run into plenty of information.

We simply cannot have every user, or every other user, creating topics so they can have their own personalized response on what mod chip or BIOS to use.  It takes up too much space and ends up annoying the users who frequent the forums.

That being said, any more topics created in this manner will be deleted.  Please make an effort to do some research for yourself.
