depedns at what stage your video was palying up .. if in the middle of a game or in dash .. there is a good chace your machine was overheating .. if in the intro anim .. good chance dirty LPC ..

Well I have now put the Matrix in my second XBOX.  Made sure that the d0 point and lpc points were clean first.

And the video is flickering on startup and in games.  Even when the box was turned off for over 2 hours.  All video settings are correct.

Does this confirm something is wrong with the Chip or are there any other factors that you know of?

Is the chip determined to wreck all of my XBOXes? Or, am I just having really bad luck?

Any comments?

Because I am thinking to get rid of the chip now before this turns into the dredded FRAG again.

Team Xodus, what do you think?

Matrix Problem, Fried Xbox?

You know whats really funny i get the same symptoms as you guys every now and then its really really weird, I turn on my Xbox And I get the Flashing Red 3 times then powers off but if I tap the bottom of my box and try to power on it powers on right away then it will go for a few days then same thing.  But whats really weird is I never unplugged my Box but yet the Xbox loses Time every time and gets set back to Jan 1 2002 Why is this?

Shall i clean??  I mean i am getting really tired of tapping the bottom of my box every couple days and setting the clock back to normal. Any help would be greatly appreciated Team Exodus

First it starts freezing on me in games

if your xbox started freezing or generaly acting up in the middle of a game, then this sounds a lot like  faulty mobo .. the matrix only works for the first 1/2 seconds on boot or reset .. after that the bios is in RAM and the system works from that ....

Again it doesn not hurt to check the standard d0 and LPC points for any physical damage that can be repaired ..
