Matrix Led Problem
« on: August 05, 2003, 05:05:00 PM »

I have a question. Will the matrix work if put in properly even when it has no feed back. My matrix has the same problem. When I flashed the chip it was barely lit and when I installed it it didnt blink at all. but when i went to the easy buy website recently, the website posted that it stopped the manufacturing of the chip. what should i do

Gee, thanks guys, and I thought the problem was me .....

Got the matrix yesterday and have been spending the whole day working on it. When I flashed it, both the green and red LED came on. But when I installed it in my xbox, I got nothing. No blinking, no nothing. When I turned off all the lights in the room, I could barely see a green dot. So I guess I'm having the same problem as everybody.

I'm going to put my xbox back together assuming that the matrix is correctly installed. Will let everyone know if it works.

Listen seriously, I tried to align my bad LED Matrix mod chip, and I think I burnt out the chip. Luckily my friend had an extra Matrix and gave it to me, and his LED's work. Seriously, its much much easier with the LEDs. I would recommend a return. as for me, my friend didnt get this matrix to work, and bought an executor pro. Before he did that, he unsoldered the last pin, and put in a wire to solder it to the underside of the board. He couldnt get it, so he gave me the chip. I took the pin from my bad matrix chip, and put it in the good chip, and it formed a cone of solder like. Fit in in 1 min with the leds and solder. real easy. Love it

I just recieved one of the bad batch chips today.  My friend spent so much time helping me with it only to give up because it is like installing it blindly. But does anyone have a suggest as what I should do?  I know easybuy has stopped offically selling them and the matrix site says do not buy from them.  Any suggestions?  btw I am calling them tomorrow about it.  Thanks
