Shouldn't they given you a special screw with your modchip?!
I think it should be included with adapter.....

Just go to the hardware store and buy a #6 x 1/2" sheet metal screw.
It is about 6 cents.

you shoudnt need a bolt, just measure the distance it needs to go
to go thru the adapter and make sure you get a screw long enough
to go thru it and screw into the hole.

QUOTE (hadrian @ Jul 27 2003, 02:40 AM)
OK, now tell me if the solderless adapter is everything it's cracked up to be.  I have one on order and am hoping for the best.  Also, these things will work with the original incarnation of the chameleon, right?  Not just the 1.3 compatible ones?

well i have a 1.3 chip so i dont know, but i am 99% sure that ot will work on any version chip... The solderless adapter is more that what it is ment up to be, what i especially love about it is that spring thing that you put in the d0 point, it works like a charm. i mean ive only had it in for a few minutes but it is soooo snug that i doubt it will be unalligned ever! laugh.gif  laugh.gif  laugh.gif , but now, i have a new problem... i am trying to flash my chip with a bios via CD-R, and whenever the cromewell asks 4 the CD, once i put it in it says linux something .cfg not found blah blah blah haulted... !!! ahhhhh, what do i do now, can someone help me with this one uhh.gif

P.S. i have the chameleon 1.3 running on xbox 1.1....

yea i just tried a cd-rw it has the same problem, could it be something i did while creating my iso or whatever, here is what i did.
1 got evox D.6 bios              256k
2 renamed it to "LINUXBIO"    256K
3 put it in a folder and made an iso with xxx iso    832k now
4 named it "Bios"
5 burned it with recordnow max onto a cd-rw
6 put it in the xbox and got the error.....

what should i do, will a dummy file help, how would i do that, i made a dummy .bin file, but how would i include it in my cd (if that would even help)

P.S. i have a phillips drive
