Matrix & Xbox 1.2

If you have a v1.1 it will work with the correct BIOS.  If you have a v1.2 then you'll have to solder a wire to the d0 point (which in my opinion sucks because you purchased a NON solder modchip).  If you want you can try to sell the Matrix and get a Chamelon non solder or X2Lite+.

Sure.  Solder a wire to the D0 on your 1.2 board and connect it to the D0 pogo solder ring on your Matrix.  Remove the D0 pogo (or insulate the board with electrical tape where that pogo would rest) so nothing shorts out.

Lots of people have done that for their 1.2s, or have done something similar on 1.0/1.1 boards for a more reliable connection.

Would this also work with a v1.3 xbox? Has anyone modded a 1.3 with matrix? Id hate to be stuck with this damn chip.

No can do.  1.3 boxes are missing the LFRAME signal on the LPC, and most chips rely on this signal.  The only LPC chips that can currently be used on the 1.3 box are X2 Lite/Pro 2.2 and higher, and the new Chameleon (has a "1.3" sticker on it)
