OK EVERYBODY

All of us got problems because the screw is too short. After several test, i've found that the PERFECT screw for theChameleon solderless adaptor is a #6-32 x 1/2

This is simply the best screw in every aspect, lenght, size etc.... It fits perfectly!

Have fun

I don't recall Team Xecuter ever selling a product that didn't work.

The Chamelon chip is a self-sufficient mod chip on its own, right?

i w0uld just liketo say that the solderless adapter is pretty much a waste of money.. use pin hearders if you have a few extrea minutes.... the solderless adapter does not come with a screw to hold it in place so you have to go out and buy your own. once it is in place and secured the far end sticks up and makes a very poor connection and the chunk of plastic where the d0 wire connects is in the way of a15 on 1.0 and 1.1 boards. unless you have a dremel tool. alot more hassle than its worth if you ask me.

i originally got the solderless adapter becasue i mod many xboxes a month and this ould speed things up... but if i use it it only slows things down. use pin headers if you have the chance.....

just my opinion.

Are pin headers only used when soldering the chip on your own?  Basically I'm confused as to what pin headers do and how you could use them with a solderless adapter...Thanks.

Yes, the pin header is only used if you want to solder it onto the LPC points. I was very pleased that the Chameleon + Solderless adapter came with a pin header since I broke my adapter and was forced to solder it.

If you're using the solderless adapter, there is no need for the pin header but don't discard it.

well i researched a bit and found out that on v1.1 the LPC holes aren't filed. one solutions is to fill in the holes by soldering it. Has anyone tried this? I don't want my solderless adaptor to go to waste since it cost me 14$ for this caca.

I friend of mine gave me a chameleon about a month ago since he didn't want to add on to his matrix.

I am a decent solderer but everytime I looked at the do point I said fuck this and ended up ordering the solderless adapter last week. I took it out of the mailbox about a hour ago and have it installed and working.

Fixing to make a evox cd right now. woo hoo  biggrin.gif

what xbox version did you have? and you got it on your first shot?

Yeah, man! Did you sign some unholy contract with the Dark Lord or something? Neither me or my friend can get these crappy adaptors to work on our boxes!

im starting to get nuts with the solderless thing, it worked first time, i flashed it.
Then the M$dashboard appeared. (the solderless isnt connecting right on the lpc or on the chip itself.
