i posted this previously by accident in the modchip chat forum.. so here goes:

i installed my matrix in my 1.0 and it aligned perfectly but since i was never able to load the slayers autoinstaller after many unsuccessful tries using the thompson drive, i actually got a newer version (1.2) so anyway I gave the matrix to my friend who also has a 1.0 and the thompson drive. now, the chip won't align at all. there will be instances where the led will blink green for a split second then go back to red. the longest i was able to hold it was about 1 sec. it was flashed with the blue bios using WinLPC. I tried to re-image the bios but it was "unable to erase" the current bios. Could the chip be fried somehow? Any suggestions?
