Hey guys just been reading through these forums looking for the same problem as mine. Anyways ive installed about 5 or 6 matrix on v1.0 xbox's so needless to say i know what has to be done. From what i understand i need to solder the lpc points on v1.1 xbox and then look for a flash of green then blinking red instead of just blinking green. I soldered the points and from what i can tell it looks flawless really smooth and all the points seem to touch. Still i am not getting the flash of green all i seem to be gettin is the red. Anyways any help would be great, maybe i missed something? thx in advance.

Did you download the right bios?

if so...try inserting the boot disk and see if it reads it.  if it does read it then you are on the right track.  if not then....you did something wrong...

hmm ok well i have the same bios on the chip as i do on the ones that worked for the 1.0
would i need a newer one for the 1.1? also even if i had the older bios shouldnt i still get the green flash if it was properly aligned?

well i am having somewhat of a problem with this also,  i have flashed and everything. green light to red flashing so moved it to mode 2, and reset the system. Once it reboots it does it 2x and then on the 3rd red flashing eject. but the light on the matrix chip is green.. any idea on what might be wrong on my end?

When installing on a v1.1 Xbox, the LEDs are practically useless.  I don't even bother installing in Mode 1.  Check this thread:

What I'm saying is that using the LEDs as an indication of a successful alignment is not reliable (on a v1.1).  And I think the green flash you are looking for doesn't occur while you're aligning, I think it only occurs when you poweron the Xbox.  In other words, you would have to align the chip visually, then turn the Xbox on and see if you get the green flash.  If not, you have to powerdown and try again.  And even if you do get it, I don't think it's a 100% indication of alignment.
