well now I put the naoni red 256 on there and it starts up, then resets 3 times
and then nothing, DAMNIT whats wrng??!!?

And NOW it wont read on the LPC anymore... SHIT now I gotta buy another chip...maybe.... suggestions?

Out of interest did you plug the programmer into the chip whilst connected to the pc (which is on)., because you arnt supposed to do that. The programmer and chip should always be connected before plugging into the printer port and I usually do it while the pc is off for safety.

i made my matrix smoke when trying to realign it after it came off.  I connected it to my pc and it did not detected. I looked at the chip closely and noticed that a trace was burned.  I kinda stretched it to the other end where it was supposed to be connected and taped it up. (did not have a soldering iron). I put the chip in and pc detected it. not only thing holding it together is Scotch tape, but it still works. .
