I just flashed and installed a matrix chip on my recently purchased, refurbish x-box. From what I can tell, it's not a 1.3 (based on info found around here).

I have a green light on the matrix chip, but it will not boot off the matrix. I still have a green X-box logo. Perhaps I'm missing a tutorial or something? What gives? Any ideas?

Uhm, depending on which BIOS you installed - you'll still get the Green X-Box Logo.

Okay, this may be a stupid question, but if I burn Halo to a DVD+RW and it works, I should then assume that the chip is working?

So my problem seems to be loading the EvolutionX to the Hard drive

Hi! There Dead_Cow

I have a v1.0 Xbox Matrix modded with the latest Blue mod Evox Bios (*not the eject fix bios) in swap mode 3(eject trick mode). I recently swapped out the standard western digital 8GB drive for a seagate 120 GB and the change over went well but the other day I was playing on live for quite a few hours after which I signed out and shut down.

The next day when I powered up the box the regular Xbox green logo booted up even though the Matrix's Green LED was on.

I powered off and rebooted only to see the same again so I put a "proper" game in and ejected which caused a reboot as normal back to the blue mod bios and all was fine again.

Hasn't done it since so I can only suggest that its some kind of unexplainable nomally.

Try this for yourself and it may rectify your issue.

Good luck!

no, your matrix came misaligned and when you ejected it moved the xbox just enough to put the d0 pogo pin back where it belonged. There is no magically unexplainable shit with xbox there buddy. If you're going to help someone troubleshoot their xbox don't tell them it's mystical magic shit.

Glad to hear you sorted your problem out Dead_Cow...

I see others have a different opinion as to what constitutes help around here and seem all to eager to display their arrogance.

Team Xodus' manual states that when the green light on the Matrix is on (when in mode 3) then the Matrix bios should boot your preferred .xbe file. If it doesn't then in my book thats an anomaly.

Since my suggestion was only designed to help ...as XDAWG so succinctly put it, then I will tell whomever, whatever shit I care to, as long as its sincere on my part.
