Matrix Or Chameleon

Now I ordered the chameleon when it first was announced.  It came several weeks ago (finally) and I just have it sitting on my desk.  I haven't been motivated to take apart my xbox to put it in.  I have the matrix inside and everything is running perfectly.  Now what motivation do I have to go through the trouble of opening up my xbox putting in the new chip either by adding it on to the matrix or pulling matrix and putting in the new chip.  Then to have to burn a cd and flash the bios with the new bios.  Is there any real reason for me to do so?  I never plan to run linux on the xbox.

If there was a very easy way to get on and play xbox live with the chameleon without having to disable the chip and without locking the hd I might be convinced.

But if you have the matrix and all you want to do is play games and homebrewed emulators and software is there really any reason to put the chameleon in?

You've just answered your questions then.

As they say 'if it ain't broke don't fix it'.

I have no idea what motivated you to get a Chameleon (as things seem to be working out for you so well).

* Aside from the fact that a larger than 256k BIOS may appear some time in the future.

For the average user, there is ABSOLUTLY no need to go from a Matrix to a Chameleon unless you understand and need to take advantage of the new features.

Unless you need multi-bios support, or support for bios larger than 256k, you're fine with the Matrix.

The chameloen is really easy to use with xbox live.  There are software controls and stealth mode.

If you are going to play live for sure install the chamelon, its a very easy install if you use pinheaders.

hahahaha.... ok that is gonna confuse some noobs

Dude,

I'd pawn the Chameleon off on someone...  Chances are in another couple months you'll be picking up another chip to do the latest and greatest.  Might as well get a couple bucks out of your cham beofor it's worthless.

Hey thanks.  I figured the stealth mode had something to do with xbox live. I'm not sure if I'll put the chameleon in.  I'm going to keep it incase I have to get a newer xbox sometime.  I have a version 1.0 and since matrix works great with that I'll keep it that way.  When the time comes that I may have to replace it or get a second unit then I'll use the chameleon.

NO THE CHAMELEON HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH XBOX LIVE!!!
