dont do anything to your matrix until you have your chameleon. I would think cutting it apart will impair it in some way.

as long as you cut the tracks correctly the box should just frag if you leave the matirx in with no chameleon attached to it.

i know ive ruined my matrix and turned it into a $6 million pogo pin adaptor, but i really need to know , how should it behave? one person said it should "frag" guessing thats the 3 resets and no boot up.

sometimes when i think its aligned it does the 3 resets then boots up normal , im wondering if this is the correct alignment.

can someone please help !

yes it should do the 3 resets.  that means it's perfectly aligned and ready to be piggybacked by the chameleon

Just take it off, wait for your cham and then try it all together.  There's no point in having a broken matrix on your box.

That's the kind of response I'd expect from someone stupid enough to destroy his matrix before actually getting hold of a cham.  You asked a question, I gave an answer, there's no point at all in having a broken matrix in your box, you won't be able to work out if it's doing what it should at all, it's difficult enough getting a normal matrix working, never mind one you have destroyed.  If you want to waste your time, go ahead, I just gave a little friendly advice, but as a n00b of the worst kind, you seem to think you know better.  I hope that you manage to get your broken matrix not working as it's supposed to not work when you destroy it, then when you get your cham, you'll have to go through it all again, what a waste of time.

of course it wont boot ms bios if you have d0 grounded .  xbox boots its own bios chip - if d0 is grounded it boots off lpc bus - if nothing is at lpc bus it frags - the matrix is disabled by cutting the tracks so it cannot find matrix bios so effectively nohing there so will also frags.  hope thats clear
