No, this does not work this way.  Read one of the detailed posts on the Chameleon's features.  I believe it is mostly for developers.

Even then it isn't useful.  I'll be damned to see a real use for it.  Homebrew software doesn't need to swap banks, it can just modify the memory space to its needs.

Go ahead and try it on live...just don't except to not get banned.  jester.gif

Lets see if anyone ever does figure out something useful with mode 2.5.

smile.gif  Or at least give me your headset once you get banned.

Really, that is the one point where M$ has modders beat at this point.  YOU CANNOT HAVE THE CHIP ON WHEN YOU GO LIVE.

Although, if you want to try it, none of us will object.

Also according to sources "stealth mode" would work with the addition of a third party software that can be ran on the XBOX (that would force the XBOX to recognize the second BIOS).

But to say it would bypass current XBOX LIVE protection would not be saying much. If methods of bypassing the current XBLIVE security system were to go public (as there are methods even today, however our friendly groups do not want to release this information to the public or pursue it any further), MS would easily change it's current security system to adapt to new hacks. If the information were to be released to the public, they would no doubt be much more aggressive towards hackers (something the current groups don't want to encourage).

So don't get your hopes up when it comes to hacking XBLIVE, unless you would like to do it yourself. Current groups don't want to alarm the "giant."

I find it funny how you cant release these "ways to beat the protection" How do we know it exists without proof. No offence but you could just be making it up and if it is true I bet your "methods" are useless in XBL V2

smile.gif

especially in DECEMBER when they referred to STealth Mode with WINK WINK wink.gif   on their Main Page!

They are doing backpeddleing ... even EASYBUY took off EVERYTHING from the Chameleon Page ... about what it can do!      .... even they are distancing themselves from the chip!

who cares?

Apathy isn't an excuse for everything.
If such is the case, why do you bother replying?
If you honestly don't care, you wouldn't have replied.

More along the lines that perhaps you like the chip, and indirect defense of it by pulling the apathy card to convince people to ignore such an issue.  Or inflating post count perhaps?  Or maybe just bitter with life in general, the analysis can go on and on.  wink.gif

Of course it cannot be proven, but we'll leave everyone else to think about which reason. tongue.gif

As for why we might care?  Well we dedicate a decent chunk of time to this hobby, so we should care.  As for being a developer, I was interested in the stealth mode when they first announced it...and then they never released information on it for how many months?

As for what Ben said, I beileve they failed to do what they planned with it, oh well saves me money.

Well I don't care about post count so that's not it. Life in general is good. I think really what it is, have you ever heard the old saying: there's no use in crying over spilled milk?
That's why I say who cares. I'm not a fanboy of any chip. I'd rather flash a tsop or whatever is cheapest but nice psychoanalysis of me. I put a great deal of time into this hobby too and because of that I know that not everything is going to go your way or do what it's supposed to do. So do you, that's why you should be able to come to the same conclusion as me. Unfortunately you chose attacks at me and said I obviously cared because I posted about it.
I guess that means you really care about me. I'm so flattered Mage. I didn't know.
