Keep in mind that some traces may be underneath the first layer of PCB. Thus, many traces can coexist on the same board/area. This is engineering that was designed for the most efficient use of a multi-layered PCB. The traces that aren't apparent, are most likely underneath the first layer, if not the secone, or third.
