If you have a 1.0 xbox, you can expect an easy solderless install... If you have a 1.1 xbox, you can expect a bitch of a solderless install... If you have a 1.2 xbox, you better find someone that can solder.

You know that you have to cut 1 track in order to get the chameleon working as an addon.

Thank you, I knew there were tracks I had to cut. I have been looking for like an install guide on how to start from scratch and install a bios-less matrix and the Chameleon with the Cromwell bios. Is there anything out here that starts from scratch or should I just install the matrix hardware and bios, then install the Chameleon hardware and bios on top fo that? Doing twice the work seems useless, but if it needs to be done, it needs to be done! Couldn't I just flash the Chameleon with the programmer and install the Matrix and Chameleon at the same time? Are there ANY n00b or other guides on the chameleon out there?!

THANKS!!!

i asked the xodus team for some information about installation and got this reply.......

"Reply from Xodus Team Posted : 2003-05-24 04:56:19   yes we are going to post the manual on the site today
stay tuned"

its almost midnight and i havent seen an update yet.....so i highly doubt that there will be one any time soon.  I guess in xodus time one day= about 2 weeks so we will have to wait and see.......

What happened to the X2L+? its cheaper then the X2L + pogopin adapter, and cheaper then the Matrix + upgrade. Not to metion its one piece.

Just my useless 2 cents.

East solution for ya, dude.  Flash your Matrix with EvoX. Get the allignment right (could take up to 2 weeks...)  Back up hard drive.  Swap hard drives.  Start learning how to use each of the apps, and practice backing up and applying trainers to games.  When you master all of that (about 4 weeks), then Xodus should tell you how to install the Chameleon on that Matrix.  Then you will have a whole new slew of stuff to do... (ie: Linux).

Just take it in steps like all the rest of us. . You can't build Rome in a day

Peace.

Tele thats the best advice I have heard yet. And after sleeping on it thats exactly what I plan to do. I went out and got a 120gb hdd this morning and will install that today with just the Matrix. It sucks just having a Chameleon sitting around for now though!!! Thanks again everyone!!!
