Software controll (most importnat in my opinion)
auto flasher feature (no programmer needed, just a CD with a bios of your choice)

Built in Chip Control disable with front panel buttons (good for a fast live boot)

I have gathered info on the stealth feature and it is not what you think it is (it not intended to hack LIVE, that would be a disaster)

Its all about opening the way to developers to use a second bank after the bootup of the first one. E.G mode 2 is 2x512k, and you can select a setting to tell the chip to enable the stealth on that mode
when you reboot your xbox the chip will boot the primary bank of the chip and the switch to the secondary bank of the chip but have the first bank loaded in ram, this will leave the deveopers to use the second bank for either hiding the first bank (when reading it from the LPC bus) and also helpfull to hold an M$ bios (unpathced) for future RAM hacking etc,

All this info is collected from my IRC talks, emails from xodus (the mode part) and peoples ideas,

again dont expect a chip to hack live with a simple hardware hack, it will need some smart software to run first before that happends,

back to my point,

This chip has alot of potential, it gives the scene a lift both with features, price and durability

I say thumbs up for Chameleon

x2.1 has sofware control using FlashX


stealth is bollocks


tsop access requires extra point to be soldered, so um why not just solder them anyway.


i'm no xecutor fanboy, just pissed off with the hype over this chip that people have waited 4 months on pre order to actually get, and still only 5 people have them. i hate easybuy grr.gif

flashX allows the software selection of x2pro banks afaik.

x2 is far from dead as 1) people actually own them 2) easybuy aren't in charge of them 3) because i say so smile.gif. my xecutor pro has stealth function too it's called dip switch 4

FlashX does not offer Software *Control*
It only allows bank bios "flashing" not switching or selection

No disabling the chip
No TSOP control
No Evox Support ! <--- this is important!
