I installed my Matrix into a v1.1 xbox with Evox D.6-EF bios.. (was screwed in pretty tight) When I first installed it I chose Mode 2. This was working beautifully with no problems.. I even upgraded the HD, made XBMP my default dash, etc. (I did lock my new HDD)
About two weeks ago I switched it to Mode 3. Even after that change, the system was working wonderfully..
Today, all of a sudden, it has started to boot into the regular BIOS and dash.. I finally opened the box up again and switched it to mode 2... I tested it and it seemed to fix the problem (booted into XBMP)..
I close the box up again and now it is booting into the regular BIOS and the MSDash again..
The Matrix LED is green ALL the time - has never been red...
Very very frustrating..
Any help in identifying the issue is greatly appreciated..
[ I did search the archives - found some notes on how Mode3 and EF BIOS are incompatible - however as I have mentioned before, the problem is now with the chip in Mode 2.. Also, it is not an alignment issue, as upon switching to Mode 2, and before screwing the cover back on, it did boot into the right BIOS ]
