I must be doing something wrong...

I've installed a whole bunch of these, 1.0 and 1.1, and the hardest part is the breathing...
I did find that not using a washer is easier to lign up... I don't even test, I just slip into Mode 2, place on the mobo, screw, and power, and I'm done.

And I haven't had a single one go loose on me yet, and a few travel regularly for gaming meets...

You'd be much better off soldering a set of header pins into the LPC holes and getting a chip that uses that, atleast then all you'll ever need to do is replace the chip, you can leave the pins in forever.

What kind of programming problems are you having?  I couldent flash it with the software windows based software because it said there was a problem erasing the device but I used wmilk instead.  Wmilk worked like a charm.

well i wrote this in the other matrix prog thread but, everytime i open winLPC it says device not detected. the red light is on, the chip is fit on to the prog, the prog is fit into the LPT, the port settings are correct, I installed the getIO driver, i pinch the stupid thing together,   NOTHING.
