I too have had the same experiences.  I ordered 3 of them on the 7th and am still showing as Pre-Order on the status and can not get any live persons to answer the phone or respond to emails.   What gives with this place.   grr.gif

Maybe the moderators of www.XBOX-SCENE.com can get us some answers seeing that they are involved in an affiliate program with them and are undoubtable getting some sort of kick back for all the members and guests that have ordered after following the link on any of the pages at XBOX-SCENE.   rolleyes.gif

I think I pre-ordered mine on the 6th but its still not here yet.
I wonder if there really even is a chameleon mod chip or if they all just faked it.:-)

mine is on its way to my home right now. I got the email from easybuy that it shipped and a tracking number. I have tracked it thru Canada so far.

I ordered the second day they were offered on easybuy so if you're trying to get a feel for when you might get yours just relax.... ain't gonna happen for a while

I don't for the life of me see how Chameleon will even work. I just got my matrix chip about a week ago and I had to pinch the chip to the programmer at it's connection to make contact for the programmer to program it. Doesn't Chameleon use the same connection? I mean how will it make a good connection? I don't plan on pinching my Chameleon chip while I use my Xbox.

Ouch my fingers still hurt!!

I've never had to pinch my matrix programmer, nor even use a fresh battery to program my matrix.

Anyway, you can program your chameleon once it is seated in your xbox. All you have to do is make a disc with a bios image, then load the cd, and chameleon will update itself. I forget the specifics of the whole process, but that's the gist of things.

I can only imagine how many people have already pre-ordered the chip. If you ordered on the 7th, you're obviously not going to get it as soon as somebody who pre-ordered earlier. It's on a first come, first serve basis, and that's how it SHOULD BE  dry.gif  (I pre-ordered a couple for my friends on the 7th, so I'm in the same boat. You don't exactly see me complaining though).

Sheesh, I have a feeling EasyBuy2000 is trying to clean up their reputation, try to cut them some slack. A lot of customers who had the patience and the balls to pre-order early SHOULD be receiving theirs first. For the those of us who waited until the last minute to do it, well we damn well deserve getting it late.

By the way, the pre-order and the waiting happens whenever a "fantastic" new chip comes out. That doesn't exclude the Xectuer2. MANY X2 retailers found themselves backordered when the the X2 first arrived.

By the way, my credit card status according to EasyBuy2000 is also "Pre-ordered."
I have verified with my credit card company that my credit card has NOT been charged by EasyBuy2000 for the Chameleon yet.

Now... if they haven't charged you yet, that's one less thing to complain about.

I just got an email today and they said that it would take around 2 weeks for it to ship.  I ordered on the 7th as well.

Well they announced they would jack up prices April 27th according to XBOX-SCENE's news archive. I believe May 8th was the last day you could get them for $25 plus shipping wink.gif.
