How Do I Flash My Xodus/matrix

Try it without the serial cable. Just try connecting it directly to the serial port.
Also, squeeze the chip and the programmer tightly together when flashing.

something i didn't know the first time i tried to flash mine... when you have your battery connected (make sure it's fully charged/a new battery) and the chip seated into the programmer, the red light SHOULD come on when you plug the programmer into your compy.  mess around with squeezing it and everything until the red light comes on, and make sure it doesn't go off while programming.

maybe because it isn't the serial port but the parallel port (lpt) that the matrix must be connected to blink.gif

yeah, some motherboards dont work with the software. one of my friends said he tried it on 4 computers and it didnt work, so he thought he had a bad chip, but it turned out that when he tried it on his laptop (comp # 5) it worked.

you also can try removing the nuts, one on the prrogramer and one on your PC LPT port, just remove on opisit sides like this. It makes it easier to plug the 2 together.
