when its unaligned what error do u get?
i have a matrix and i get error 13,14 every time i boot, evox wont come up..
just wondering if it is because its unaligned or something.. i moved my box, alooooooot.
but the green light is on still.
so? blink.gif

tap the top of your xbox with your fist.  it should be a hard tap, but not a straight-up punch.  if that doesn't fix it after 3 tries, you'll prolly have to realign by opening the xbox.

Today I decided to solder my matrix in after the piece of crap has come unaligned almost every day! I managed to very easily solder it in by pushing out the pogo pins and soldering straight to the chip, I had to use the alternate d0 though as i tried for half an hour trying to get it to solder to the top side but it would not stay after pre tinning everything and sraping the point! anyways to anyone who hates having it come unaligned and can solder like me (i soldered my enigmah) then do this it looks very professional to as i used an old cable from hd and split the wires, then i just screwed the matrix in and pressed down the wires! ITS NEVER GOING TO MOVE AGAIN!!!! and i also updated my bios to 4976.02 since i could reach the dips. biggrin.gif

I hope you don't get a bad flash because you will have to get it back out to flash it with the programmer

just bolt the matrix to the mobo.  That's what I did and i have never had to realign it.  never had a single problem.

Or you can do like I did for my friend yesterday. We finally got his Matrix aligned then I took a hotglue gun and guled the chip place. Now it's now moving anymore.
