Darkdog - we are in the same boat. I cant get my Matrix chip to flash either.

Also - not that if you want to use wmilk on a windows machine you will also
need to download the DLL file from warmcat.com site

Check you computer bios settings for the parallel port. Have had success with ECP+EPP.

Also, make sure you have ntiosupp.dll in your wmilk dir.

Try with the Evox 3.6 or the Evox D.6 bios, both works with 1.1 box. Select the a bios with a color mod.

Make a batch file (e.g. flash.bat) to ease the execution, let it contain the following lines:
@echo off
wmilk.exe -0c
wmilk.exe -c
wmilk.exe -c -a ffc00000 -v -p %1

Try and rename your bios image, make it short - 8 char.

Try wmilk again by running:

flash.bat evoxd6r.bin

get win LPC and then you gotta push the programmer in well and squeeze the edges while it flashes, also try different computers, xodus recommends intel but mine worked well on my EpOx mobo

I am in the same situation.  I got my modchip (Matrix) 3 days ago and have had no luck with over 5 computers with varying OS's and using all tips learned in these forums.  Is there anybody who has had this major problem and what were their final solutions.

push freaking hard into the printer port. U really gotta shove it in(don't break it) make sure the matrix is in the programmer good too there and HOLD it in the same spot. Don't move.

In the bios do you get options on the parallel port to change like 3BC/IRQ7 278/IRQ5 378/IRQ7, I know I had to change mine to 378 to get my programmer working, otherwise it used to fail with the same errors u are getting.
