Matrix Install On A V1.1 Box

Hey guys. I'm brand spankin new at this so forgive my ignorance. I have a v1.1 box and I just installed the Matrix chip. I flashed the chip with the Evox D.6 bios. When I booted up after install the chip flashed green once or twice and from then on it flashes red. I can't seem to boot up any non Xbox disc. I get the "Please insert an Xbox game or DVD" message. Is my chip installed correctly? Thanks.
