Matrix Boot Probs

I just installed a matrix into my v1 xbox without any problems.  Set it to mode 2, loaded up the Evolution X dashboard and installed it onto my xbox.  

Original games work fine but when I try to play a DVD, it will start loading and will show the dashboard and it says loading on then screen and then the xbox reboots and repeats the process again and again until I turn it off.  If anyone can please help me with this i would really appreciate it.
