I finally fixed the problem. One of the pogo pins on my Matrix chip wasnt alligned correctly. Here's what I did....
1. Make sure your Matrix chip is flashed with the bios and set to Mode 1(both switches in the "ON"
position.
2. Install the Matrix into your XBOX. Look closely to make sure that the connectors are lined up
correctly. I had to gently pull the chip towards me (the front of the XBOX) as I was screwing it in
for the pins to line up correctly. Screw the chip in so that its snug but able to be moved slightly
to either side.
3. Turn on your XBOX. If the Matrix has a flashing green light, then its alligned properly. If it
flashes red, you will have to make some adjustments. With the XBOX still on, slowly(millimeter
by millimeter) and carefully move the Matix chip from side to side until you see a flashing green
light. This may take a few tries.
4. Once you see the flashing green light, tighten the screw that is holding the Matrix in place until
the chip is firmly in place(not too tight!) Hopefully, the pins will still be alligned(green flashing
light) after you tighten the screw If not, start at step 3 again....
5. Turn off your XBOX.
6. Now that your Matrix is alligned, you can use the switches to change to the mode of your
choosing. I used Mode2(Matrix always on).
7. Turn on your XBOX
8. If your Matrix was flashed with EvoX D.6 colormod, then after the opening animation, the "XBOX"
and "X" logo should turn either red or blue(depending on which colormod you chose). Now you
have successfully installed your Matrix chip. Now go to the next step.
9. Figure out how to burn and install EvolutionX.... and then tell me how to do it! Its killing me!
