If you got ver 1.1 that usually is what happens, line it up and try to boot it...

Just bypass the alignment stage, enable the chip and have a crack at it.

try burning it to a different brand of CD-RW...i have found that Imation and TDK both work flawlessly in a Thomson and Philips DVD drive.

DON'T try and align a chip and boot to evox @ the same time you crazy knut.

use a fiberglass pen (or extremely fine sand paper) on the mobo, where the pogos touch.

Get the xbox to boot normally to the M$ dash before you worry about evox/slayer.

Hi,

Me and 2 of my friends have done it to mine, and we ruined 1 xbox in the process so we have alot of experience, it does take time and patience to get it aligned. whenever it blinks to red it means bad, as usual. so you got to get it aligned better. i have had mine going for a while originally with the 8 gig hard drive. Now with an 80 gb. works great sometimes it will boot to old bios and say there is a problem. i use a little finesse and it works fine. seems this is do to the screw comin loose, and i here it can be fixed with havin another washer.
