You're seeing "Matrix Inside" when you turn on the box, instead of "MS"?  That means it must be booting off the chip, and d0 is ok.  If D0 was bad, you wouldn't even know there was a chip in the box (neither would the box!).  Maybe you need a different bios?  Don't know what comes on the matrix...

:::sigh:::

It has NOTHING to do with your mod chip.

"Matrix Inside" is caused by loading the Evolution-X dashboard. It's just the XBE logo, which is displayed by the BIOS on startup.

It can be changed. It's just a bitmap.

Well first of all it is an Aladdin U. I have not changed anything on the Hdd except I installed Xbox live. Some times it says "matrix inside", so the chip must be loading, but then it will change to M$. Is this becuase I have installed Xbox live???
Well I will play around with the D0...

I checked it again and found that I had crossed wires, I can now run evox. I feel like a retard now. BenJeremy helped me out with all of the info you gave me, ty for helping a mod newb and sorry if I came off like a dink.

(btw, if I disconnect my D0 I get the 3 restarts problame?)

It's not really three restarts... it's an error code.

Perhaps your hard drive is unlocked, or your Evox dash is named xboxdash.xbe (which is unsigned code.... original flavor Xbox does not like unsigned code or unlocked hard drives)
