Hmmm.....I wonder how that will effect my Matrix sense I soldered external switches to it. That was my number one complaint about the Matrix. I had to open it up every time I wanted to flip the dip switches.

On the Team Xodus web site they mention that Modes 1-3 on the Matrix still function but what about Mode 4? How will we flash update the bios with the add on?

I hope so that was one of my major complaints and biggest reason for putting switches on my Matrix was that I didn't want to open my box every time I wanted to change a mode ie flash update the chip.

I am sure they must have thought of that.

I got my switches installed and i am really happy with them (even though I have it on mode 3 most of the time).

Chameleon really looks promising... cant wait to see pics and more info

They say Software control...

Any one have any ideas how this can work?

well you would assume that you can disable the mod from the dash or button presses.  This get reset on power off.

For me this sound very good.  Having a matrix that came unaligned a few time I have just bought an x2lite which I will fit with the pin header tonight, now it look like I won't have to put loads of switches on my xbox to disable chips.  So when the chameleon come out I can plug that in to the pin hearders and maybe have to solder a few wires then I'm done.

I was only buying a lite to wait for the pro, but now I think I will wait for the Chameleon.  Just like the idea of turn the thing off via S/W.  Oh and the cost is also very nice.

Have to wait and see.

Hopefully it won't be a X2 fanboy Vs Matrix Fanboy slaging match again, 'cause it give me ball ache.

Looks like Easybuy2000 is taking pre-orders, but still no arrival date?

Geez... I wonder if they are just trying to get a bit of cash flow and siphon off some X2Pro business.

Looks like it's a simple pin header for 'stand alone' connection. Nothing else new announced.

I realize a lot of people are going to lay out money here, but hopefully it's more current Matrix users interested in upgrading, rather then people with a current need to modchip their Xboxes. Personally, I'd advise against that without some sort of date on the table for delivery of these things. You know what they say about a bird in the hand... same sort of thing as counting chickens before they hatch...

It says Feb 28.. I expect it will be bumped up a few weeks (months?) though.

Master Card and Easybuy2000 don't mix! You have to authorize foreign credit card payments, and their customer service sucks! I'm gonna start an organization, is going to be called H.A.E., Hackers Against Easybuy2000. For anybody who desires the Matrix get it from gamegizmo, I did and their customer service is great!

Ok, first off, I can read, and I always do so, before posting, but I just checked the Xodus site and they say the Chameleon can be used as a stand alone chip, or an add-on for the Matrix.

Why would you use it as an add-on, what purpose does this serve?
When are they being released, or have they been already?
Do they come with a BIOS flasher (hardware)?
How comes it's cheaper than the Matrix, but supposedly better?

LA!

I need answers, cuz I want my Xblock modded, but I'm still deciding on the chip to get.

BYEEEEE!!
