with DO and T1 connection software controlled and with the WINK next to it on their site... are they referring to FLASHING the TOSP without any DO T1 soldering ....     what do you think it means?

is that what the DO t1 points refer to ... or what do you PRO's think?

wink.gif and d0 and t1 stuff.

Just a shot in the dark:

It sounds like you can boot a backup and then through the software you can switch to a different bank on the fly where an original bios would be and it would use stealth to hide the illegal bios so you could go on live without being detected.

This is merely speculation so you know and and I do not suggest at all that I know what I am talking about.  This is just what I deducted from what I do know.  It might have nothing to do with live in fixing it but rather offer some other kind of features similar to what I said above.  I wonder what this software is that they are talking about???

Getting backups to work on Live is the WORST possible thing that can happen to the service.

It opens the door to hacking and cheating and I think it's a fucking stupid goal.  If you can't afford to pay $50 every once in a while for a game that you want to play online then that's pretty sad.

Curses on everyone trying to get backups to work.

Well, that's a "good" thing, but think of how easy it will be for disreputable installers to dupe people buying pre-modded systems by just flashing the TSOP.

It's already a problem.

The Complex DEBUG BIOS is 512k looped twice in a 1024k BIOS. If people want a Debug system that can also get on Live, without having to buy a new box and flash the TSOP with an X2 w/programmer or Cheapmod that can hold the 512k temporarily, so far you just cant do it with a Matrix chip, because the BIOS just wont fit. Chameleon will solve that problem.

I'm not sure about the features of the chameleon.
Does it provide the same features than matrix and xecuter2? (evox, multibios, hddswap...)?

As you may notice,

All new chips are flash upgradable so HDDswap is implied when you use a bios that has the evox hdd patch

Evox can be installed on any moded nox so yes.
yes Chameleon has multibios (its clearly explained on the announcement)

I am fond of the idea of being able to use it as a stand alone chip with all its features for only 25$ and i wont be suprised if people use it as a chip and not an addon. time will tell

it would not make it solderless TSOP flashing... you would still have to solder both points top and bottom. the only advantage it brings is that you do not have to bring a wire from T1 to ground.

smile.gif. The only problem is, what if you try this and it works for a few weeks and then M$ ban you ???. Sounds too good to be true and the release of this info maybe to try to get people to think about waiting for it rather than get a xecuter2 pro.
Will be nice to see some pics and maybe some more info on this stealth feature. Maybe the eye of bigbrother (M$) will watching you for a week or 2 and them bam! everyone using this gets caught ?? smile.gif maybe I'm paranoid.

I don't really mind because I probably won't ever even try xbox live as I play online with my pc

If you don't see any good features yet for "Everyday Users", then don't buy it. No reason to complain about something that some people could use and througholy enjoy.

If BenJeremy's post about The Secrets of BIOS Features like IGR and stuff gets answered, you may want a 512k or 1024k BIOS in the future. You never know.

ok, so it would totally make sense to choose this one instead of an xecuter2 lite for example, am I right?

common sence sais, if you get something at a better price and better features, you go for that right?
