Okay, I've flashed the TSOP using the Matrix before. Not so big a deal if I remember correctly (It's been a while). Anyway, I recall there being some trick to align it using the LED. This would save me loads of time. If anybody can let me know how this is done I'd really appreciate it. And YES! I've searched. . .

I'm following that tutorial and after I solder those two jumper points I can't align the chip! It's driving me fucking insane!!!

Just a comment on your problem before you get back to me.  You may actually have it aligned, but the LED give you a false blinking red.  It will give you an initial flash of green when you first boot the system.  This is commonly known on v1.1, but I've experienced this problem on 2 v1.0 Xbox so far.

one thing you could try is to use 2 wires on j1 instead of soldering the points together, that way you can align your matrix, then join the wires together.. problem solved.

OR  put the chip in mod 4 with out doing all that G1 shit and make sure of course you have the tsopmatrix bios installed and when the xbox does xmas lights then you know its alinged....

let me rephrase... he broke three of them, didnt touch 2 and somehow managed to do 2 all in a matter of a week. pretty skilled technician there huh?

I figured he had gotten it all fixed, since he didn't get back to me for some help.  I done 3 TSOP flashes using my method so far without any problems, but I was unable to figure out what problem he was having.

because those motherfuckers were my and my friends xbox's... making a 1 1/2 hour drive to that little bitches house cause he gave me excuses all week and said they would be done the day i dropped them off. i waited five hours and he asked me to come back the next  day... i just love 1 1/2 hour drives.. excuses the next day.. this was on a monday... so by the time saturday comes around i call him when i get out of work and he sais hell be doen by the time i get there. so i get there with my friend and he tells me... those two are don, i didnt touch those two and i FUCKED those three up.. but ill have them fixed by tomorrow. WHAT THE FUCK...... then he says ill ship them to you FUCK YOU..... you aint touching shit..
i can fix them... WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU JUST TELL ME ON THE PHONE you weird ass devil worshiper?
i spent a total od 6 hours on the road for him to do this..
