Matrix Dying On Us?
« on: January 25, 2003, 06:23:00 PM »

Like the Xecuter team and many others have been saying all along:

The Pogo-Pins are useless and are not a permanent solution.

Soldering should fix your problem.

Your pins just came loose you just need to keep trying untill you get them seated properly. If you want a good chip to use instead I would go for the X2 pro with the pogo pin adapter. The Matrix is a good chip. It has helped in bringing more noobs into the scene. But for more advanced hackers you'll find that the X2 pro so more in line with there needs.

Yeah I hear you....I'm some what in the same boat. But I'll just upgrade to the X2 Pro some time in the future and I'll just mod my little brothers box with the Matrix my only hope is that I can get the external switches on my Matrix to work on the X2 Pro.

that is more expensive than gatting the matrix off easybuy, and you said you didn't solder external sweitches on it? I don't think that proce is reasonable, even if you did have external switches on it, they cost max $6.00 US to make.

I soldered my external switches to the outside of the Matrix internal switch box so that in the future if I ever wanted to remove or sell the modchip I could do so and it would be now different than a Matrix fresh out of the box.
