when i set my matrix in mode 4, (write enabled), it doesnt boot up the bios that i flashed it wit, via the programmer, it boots orig bios... also my swap mode doesnt work... any idea why?

i got a 1.1 xbox
orig hd
pioneer dvd
newest x2 bios
external switches

yes, every mode works execpt for mode 4, the leds and all

try it with the top off.  One of those switches seems squinched (sic).  It may not really be turning on/off.

I'm assuming the internal switches are both off, since the other modes works according to you.

Seriously, I think the previous post is correct. I looks like the switch on the right is kinda screwed up. I had the same problem, as I put the switches in the exact place you did. Clear a bit more room for the switch, and it should work better for you.

What did you do to your case???

The switches fit without having to touch the case, like this one on mine...

This is not the switch problem, if the external switches don't work correctly the original dip switches are in an off position, so they are already in mode 4.
