Be sure that the Dip Switches are in the right position, try #1 OFF, #2 ON.
After you put the switches into a different position, rebood the XBOX

same bios, same chip, same xbox, same computer used to program it.  If all the above apply then make sure first of all you reprogram the chip, sometimes it will do it badly and because the bios was written badly it may sometimes incorrectly verify it as being correct.  Then you can try with a different bios, some bios's just dont work with some boxes (not as much with the original ones) but thats another thing to try.  It seems like a lot of work but to be honest you can keep the box open so it shouldnt take mroe than a few mins if you have the right bios's.  Gd luck and if that doesnt work get back and ill think of a few other things.  Chris

All of the above indeed do apply.  We reprogrammed the chip several times using all of the different Evox 2.5 bios.  We even erased the bios several times and reprogrammed.  Then we tried different computers with both xboxs and modchips (4 puters to be exact).  I'd appreciate other ideas.  Thanks.

your just probably installing it wrong, seems like nothing else could be the matter, clean th d0 point with alcohol, fuck the washer just screw it down pretty tightly, straight down, til you ALMOST strip it, you can feel it, then move it to the right and it'll align perfectly, i find the 3 dots to big the biggest shit in the world, it's easier to align with just screwing down and moving it to the right,

its the allignment keep trying,

do you get the turn off 3 times thing? and the front goes red when in mode 2? dip switch 1 down switch 2 up? also make sure you pinch the programmer together, and always have it in mode one (both switches up) when installing
