I did, I tried by using the clothspin and I tried it by hand.

of the 4 computers 2 are running XP, 1 is 98, and 1 is 2000. WTH?? I also tried installed the GiveIO Driver Setup as recommned by some.


Still nothing....

email the tech support at matrix's website. They have a reputation of being really good at ficing any problems you might have. There is a link to the website at the homepage of xbox-scene. It's called team xodus.

Under File->settings move the delay slider all the way to the right

BTW Device not found means it's not seeing the programmer itself.  Make sure your printer port is set to EPC(?) mode in device manager.

Ahh. I am sad. It is already on ECP mode.. Has anyone gotten thiers to work under EPP or does it only work under ECP?

two things...first use a used battery...it will work better...secound try old 300mhz cpus...and third whats epc; epp; and ecp...btw dont try pinching till ur finger hurts i fried my programmer like that...my chip still doesnt have evox

biggrin.gif That same problem happened to me today! I did all that stuff but it didnt work and I even tried it on 3 cpus so then we shoved it in my Dad's old hp work laptop and it worked fine took a while cos so old and slow but it worked!  biggrin.gif And if I ever was gonna buy another chip I wouldnt reccomend matrix it works now that i got it to but you have to stuff around for so long to try and get it to align properly and boot bios took me 2and a half hours to get it to boot bios in mode 2. I would definately go with x2 next time. Oh well though.
