Matrix Worth Keeping?

Well, I would think (And hope that MS isn't stupid enough not to fix this) that none of the current modchips will work in the next version (1.2 or whatever) of the Xbox. Don't sell your Matrix just for that reason.

Well even right now you can't flash 1.1 tsop with a matrix....unless I've missed it. And in fact with a little more work your cheap mod can flash the tsop as well. Check it out here.

Because the special bios you use on the matrix was written for version 1 machines. Until someone writes one for version 1.1 you can't use the matrix to flash the tsop. You can however use a 30 wire mod. Or something like the link I posted (not positive as I haven't tried it though).

I really would have thought a matrix_tsop_flash_v.1.1.bin would have come out by now....

it works (hardware wise) on all current models

tsop flashing will be out for v1.1 sooner or later

how can you tell what version you xbox is ? I can't install my matrix chip and it has the new bios etc maybe the new version has come out already!

You seriously need to do some reading. First, you can't flash a modchip with "TSOP" (TSOP is hardware, not software). Second, EvoX doesn't make TSOPs. Third, Bios and TSOP are different things pretty much.
