Matrix With V1.1 Xbox

You need to fill the holes on a v1.1 with solder first. Then, the led will only briefly flash green and then go red. It still means that it's properly aligned though.

If you don't then the pogo pins will keep falling through and it will never connect properly.

Worked for me W/O soldering anything on a xbox 1,1 but you need to clean the holes on the motherboard to get the stuff of that ms put on there for 1.1 versions. After doing that the matrix will work

You`ll need to fill the holes, really, if you had a v1.0 xbox it wouldnt needed to be done, cause the holes there are already filled

The easiest way I foind to aligne the matrix on a V1.1 is to screw it down first, (not too tight so you can still move it) than with a malty meater check the connection between the D0 pin on the Matrix and pin 5 on the TSOP. Not feeling in the holes with solder actualy helps to aligne the chip. Works for me every time.
Cheers...

There is absolutly no need to fill in the holes with solder, thats a bunch of BS. Just take your time and keep going at it. I've installed 4 Matrix chips for friends of mine since they dont know nothing about this stuff. Each one of them all had v1.1 with empty holes but i managed to install a Matrix in each of them just fine.
