Pinch the programmer where the mod chip connects to it whilst programming, your problems will most likely be solved.

Absolutely I've answered this one about 5 times today. Try using a clothes pin while flashing.

it could be that your paralell port is not configured properly in the bios, try other settings like ecp epp bi-directional etc.
also try using a battery that is not quite as new.

i had this problem with my laptop, and couldnt get it to work at all, i had to use a different machine.

try removing your lpt port from the device manager and let windows reinstall it after a reboot.

the easiest way to fix it would be to try another pc though.

also once you get into winlpc try erasing the chip first, before flashing, sometimes it glitches in the middle on the first try if you dont erase the chip.

sounds like the programmer does not work....

Had the same thing, also tried 4 different rigs

Lukily a mate had a different programmer from when he got his matrix, tried that and it worked first time!

I Got two matrix's at teh same time and i also had one bad programmer, but the one that did work, did not work with new bateries, i had to find a battery that was almost dead to get to get winlpc to work at all.
