put matrix onto programmer then put it into the PC port and pinch the two together

Make sure you are using an intel motherboard as well. I have two AMD's and an old piece of shit P2 intel that I have to use.

okay changed the battery, got it programmed...trying to install now, and the original screw won't go back in.  it catches fine without the chip there

any ideas?

You've stripped the top of the thread, this is very easy to do.

Use a longer screw.

man i didn't have trouble with nothing on my matrix. the only thimg it happend i was using evoxD.6(blue) bios and it  didn't play back up then i used evox 2.5 whitch isthe one that they recomend to use to begin for version 1.0 with and no problem at all, as far as allingment no problem either  first of all i lost the dam screw and tape they send me any way i just used  the original  but before i even screw it in i allign the  chip first just keep presure while u turn on the machine that way u don't have to screw and un screw. when u get green that it u got it. hope this help.
