Ok.  Thanks everyone for the help so far.  I now have the Matrix Mod chip installed with a version 26 software which is for the xbox 1.0.

I have 6 DVD backups that all work on the chip with no problem.  but i cannot get any CD-RW to boot in the xbox. it says the disc is unrecognized.  I would rather assume i am just burning a bad boot image since all the DVD+R's work just fine.

Has anyone else seen this problem,  can you recommend software to use to burn a boot disc and a link to a how to if possible.
