The X2 Lite and pogo pin adapter are not available. You will have the same problems aligning a X2 lite with pogos as you would with the Matrix. Sometimes there is a little plastic coating above d0, and this can cause problems with aligning the Matrix. A good tool when beginning to mod with the Matrix is an X-acto knife, so you can very carefully scrape off any excess plastic coating if having difficulties aligning the mod.

Matrix has one of the best flashing methods. The Matrix includes a programmer, and after installing the correct software, can be flashed via LPT port on your computer.

Finding the bios is a little tricky. You will definetly have to do some detective work. Go to www.mirc.com and install the latest IRC chat software. Go to the IRC forums, and learn how to download from the fservers, or ftp. You can find bios in #xbins on efnet, #xboxapps on efnet, and if your really lucky, some cool person might even email them to you. Good luck and good modding.

i would recommend the martix but i have not tried the x2lite yet. i just know that, to me, the matrix was very easy to install. i have been running it for about 2 months with 0 problems.

Go Matrix, its the only no solder chip that has all the features, plus TSOP flashing that the X2 does not have.

I agree with iMURDERER. The Matrix is the best, and yes, you can do all the mods you listed, and more. Once the 1-meg adapter comes out, the matrix will be better than x2 on all levels.

imurderer you are such a false fag

matrix does not have multi bios switching
matrix does not have 1MB capabaility
matrix does not support debug
pogo pins suck - fact - not made up info unlike your made up invention of the pin header

plus x2 is cheaper and supported by the guys who cracked the xbox for you in the first place

so you can flash the onboard bios - you ONLY need to do this if you have a matrix - not needed at all with x2 - as that is a profressional option - flashing onboard is ghey and lame and also red rag to a bull when it comes to noobs blowing up their consoles

go back to being the false glory hunter that everyone knows you to be

you think you can stop flaming people please? it's causing me psychological damage.. well not really, but it is annoying.

biggrin.gif

fist of all, i'm about to install a matrix and mod the switches outside my xbox (so i can diable it, and set it to flash mode externally) but this is just a temp setup till the x2 pro arrives.

the way i see it pogo pins are a piece of crap, if you plan on modding electronic equipment you should realy consider soldering or let someone do it for you...

ohyeah, there will be a 1meg addon... hmm, so first you buy some over priced piece of crap and then have to BUY an addon for it...

my point of view: get the x2!

this is  only my personal opinion, this is not to be taken personal in any way.

The matrix is actually cheaper than the X2... cheapest I've seen the Matrix is $45, and the X2 lite is $49... and the Matrix ix more expensive to make because of the pogos.
