« on: December 28, 2002, 01:28:00 AM »

i installed my matrix, with a blue colour bios that's just a modified verson of evox d6, and it works, but once the blue symbol comes on, i get an error saying my xbox needs repairs, but as soon as i turn the chip off the error goes away.

what do i do?

correct, but right now with evox 3.6 loaded on it, it like beeps 3 times and doesn't load up when i try and start it with the chip on in any way.  i don't know if there is something wrong with the chip, or my xbox or me, lol.

Thanks for any help you can offer

I had best success with some really old Sony cdrws.  I've also gotten some verbatim discs to work quite well.

well, i do have it aligned properly, because the light is green when on mode 1, someone said that since it's a thomson drive i can only use dvd-rw's is this true?

i don't think it has any thing to do with naming hte files, cause i downloaded an image that was already compiled, and the xbox just doesn't load any form of cd-r or cd-rw, is it perhaps due to my thomson drive?

I never could get the matrix to work with a green light in mode 1.  If I were you I wouldn't rely on the light.  I'd rely on a successfull boot.  Just plug in your xbox to your tv, set the matrix to mode 3, boot, if you get the bios on the matrix its aligned.  If not its misaligned.  Thats what worked for me.   I only used the green light for an initial "I'm in the right area" alignment and then went from there.

You have to realign the Matrix again that’s your problem I had the same error I though the alignment was ok because in mode 1 I got the green light but that doesn't matter all that’s mean if one of the pogo is align correctly, one way to see if all the pogos are ok is pressing the chip hard and see if a litter red light blink that was I did.

so what ur saying is that i got to push down in mode one, and if the light stays green i'm good, nad if it turns a tad red, i'm in trouble?

another thing i noticed, i dunno if it makes n e difference, but when i start thesystem in mode one, it flashes red for a split second, then goes to green, and also when i run a game in mode one, the one i used was medal of honor frontline, the light goes red as soon as the game loads, is this supposed to happen?
