I Got Those Matrix Blues!

It's BLINKING RED and it won't STOP blinking RED! Make it STOP!!!

But seriously, I flashed it this morning, no problem, took the box apart (done it before many times), got my cool "solderless" chip aligned up on that screw and for the love of God I can't get it to stop blinking red! I don't have the Hard Drive or DVD Drive hooked up, could this cause it? What else could cause it? I have checked the pogo pins and they look like they are aligned just fine with their respective connectors. The washer is firmly taped in place, I have been working on it for an hour or so and am just plain confused at this point. Any suggestions MUCHO appreciated!

Negative, I have a V1.0, got it the day the box launched. Are the guides still applicable?
