Team Xecutor Completely Missed The Point
« on: December 23, 2002, 01:49:00 PM »

Is it just me or did Team Xecutor completely miss the point with their post, bashing the team that brought the Matrix.

The innovation that the Matrix team accomplished, wasn't the 1mb bios...it was the fact that it was an add-on to a modchip.  Something that has never been done before.

If it's so easy and so not a big deal, then why doesn't Team Xecutor step up and release a 1mb addon for Xecutor 1 with a flasher.  Or...release a new modchip with these features that can piggyback and sit on top of  Xecutor 1 instead of leaving their first customers in the dust.

All tables on all websites describing Xecutor 1 said it was flashable, and Team Xecutor knew it essentially wasn't but let this occur anyway.  As a result, Team Xecutor did not deliver on the goods and said 'screw you' to all their customers (kinda like how they had no problem by releasing a marketing promotion implying only 1 solder point when there were actually over 10).

The Matrix Team was loyal to their customer base... by releasing a cheap add-on rather than forcing them to buy a whole new modchip.  Team Xecutor was not.   In fact Xecutor 1 customers are even more screwed because we can't even safely uninstall the Xecutor without professional equipment meaning we don't even have the choice of switching modchips...yet still Team Xecutor hasn't stepped up and released anything to help us out (or at least deliver on the flashing of the bios part that was promised to us).

Oh...and I almost forgot.  I can't believe how Team Xecutor also bashed the Evolution-X dashboard team for releasing In-Game-Reset in their dashboard.  Without that I would have no way of doing In-Game-Reset (since Xecutor 1 isn't flashable).  That just shows you how little Team Xecutor cares about their customer base.

Hey Matrix Team...ever think of releasing an add-on for Xecutor 1?

x-ecuter team just seem like a bunch of bickering kids, nobody can do anything in the mod scene without them sticking their oar in.

why can't we all just get along!?  beerchug.gif

That's EXACTLY what I wanted to say.  So well said  biggrin.gif

Just one more thing to add...

when your product relies on our software - so we still don't get that either ?

First of, we all know that Matrix DOES NOT rely only on xecuter bios.  Sure its a damn nice one, but ITS NOT THE ONLY ONE!  I use evox 2.6 and have yet to find a reason to switch to xecuter.

AND it IS a GREAT add-on because this gives me (the "customer") more options as to whether I want to upgrade or not.  Maybe I don't need a 1mb bios for what I want to do.  So who's bashing who now?

Now I can't comment about xecuter customer support, but Xodus support is increadable.  I had an email reply within 2 hours.  I'm also very pleased to see xodus standing by their customers and releasing an add-on.

No complaints here for the Matrix.  Great job!

yep i agree to, i'll never by i modchip from xecuter just for there comment they made on the release of the 1mb bios xodus is releasing. There just pist cause matrix buyers won't buy there x2lite or x2pro now. So there trying to make them look bad.

i just ordered a matrix chip, after ordering and installing one in my boss' xbox, i liked it a lot and decided to get one for mine.  i was planning on ordering an x2pro for my other box when it's released, but yer right.. team xecuter seems to have a bit of foot-in-mouth syndrome.. besides, even if i were to buy a solder solution modchip, it would prolly just be a matrix 1mb.. it's cheap as hell after all..

I personally do not like Team Xecutor that much, granted they have done some good work on their own, but they bitch too much.

I would be upset too if another dashboard group could offer the same features on 256k bios making a 1meg bios chip pointless (for the time being). I would be upset if a previously better modchip made an addon to catch up to something I have just created. I can see why they would be angry, but bitching about it, does that help?

They seem to be in it only for the money, not that other chips aren't, but they are rude and try to attack other groups to promote their chip. I don't know about you, but these are not good business tactics. I was very much looking forward to X2 Pro, but quickly changed my mind when they didn't ever decide a release date, I think for a while X2 Lite was suppose to be out Nov 25th (as posted on some of the sites they suggested to buy from). However wasn't it only released mid-December? The other thing was their constant immature attacks at Matrix owners (even if they said they were only joking).

One last note.. they claimed they like owned the rights, or deserved credit for the in game reset. Matrix did a very polite job of telling them to shove it up their ass, that it was free to public, and their's was not Bios based as X2's was. That showed good class, compared to just putting them down with other words or calling them names.

I 100% agree also. Team executer while I enjoy their mods/bios's and software, they are very extremely arrogant.

What can I say? I agree with this post 100%, its probably the greatest post I've read about the Xecuter Team and wraps up my feelings.  They only seem to make their BIOS releases anymore to sell their chips... and at this rate I bet they'll stop releasing BIOS updates if their chip flops... (what happened to the XBL compatible BIOS and changeable BIOS?)

Also, they always claim the Matrix Team is in it for the money since they only release hardware... but I've never heard them once bash the OpenXBOX since its no longer their competition.  Both the Openxbox and the Matrix were the most innovative chips to date and have greatly helped the scene... and the X2 chip is neither innovative nor aiding the scene.

I think a lot of XBOX users realized this a lot earlier than Xecuter's recent lame post. Team Xecuter has always taken everything one level too far... the sad part is... by acting the way they do, it really shows that they "really are in it for the money" (counter to popular beliefs).

Personally, I think X2 is a great product; but I wouldn't buy it because of the attitude X2 shows to the public. It's quite pathetic.

Oh and by the way... X2 was always supposed to be "cheaper" than competitors, but in fact... it's damn near the same price...

Matrix w/ a programmer is $59
X2:Lite is $44 + $20+ pogo pins = $64+ for a mod with pogo pins (without programmer).
X2:Pro is $more than x2:lite + $20+ pogo pins = over $64 for a mod with pogo pins (with programmer).

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one sick of hearing those whiney little bitches.  STFU, and/or retire already.  Personally I don't use their bioses, I prefer Evox. Oh wait, I forgot the latest Evox is just a ripped off version of the latest Xecutor2 bios (as they implied, IGR). Nothing worse than checking xbox-scene.com for updates, and seeing yet another idiotic post by these guys. Cry me a friggin river.....

They are a bit eccentric at times and I also find their arrogance amusing.

What I don't find amusing is the effect it has on some weak minded individuals.  But I give up here, no matter what you do or how you do it there are people that instead of doing some research on their own would rather take the words of a shit house lawyer to heart.  And the shit house lawyers / fan boys that enjoy making up "facts" because they know that Little Johnny will believe it.

And for some of you that just popped into the scene 2 weeks ago, this "flame war" between the teams has been going on for quite a while now.  It does suck but all we can do about it is ignore it and try to continue supporting one another with facts based on experience.
