I made the original post here.
I'm glad to see that Team Xecutor has responded to the many threads concerning their bashing of competitors.
My respect for them has risen again (not all the way yet, but maybe with time).
As brought to light by biosboy here is Team Xecutor's response:

The team as a whole will endeavour to produce many new software products to make the xbox experience that much more fun no matter what mod you use.
We'll continue to help design better mods and competition is all good and healthy, although it should ever degenerate into a stupid ass flame war. Its not only stupid but boring too. Unfortunatley the flames are fanned by one too many ignorant idiots who seem hell bent on causing trouble, this cannot be helped and these people in no way speak for Xecuter.
In future we'll simply let the software and electronics do the talking.
PS For the last time (we really dont want to say this again) - we never once promised or offered any update to Xecuter1. There wasn't even any question of updates back then. It was the first LPC mod on the market and we simply didnt see any use for it at the time. We did say we would look at a possible updater as a seperate add-on, but we never once said it was a feature. In fact 6 months later Xecuter1 STILL works - so enough already with the mis- informed bashing.

   haha...yeah that part was a little fishy.  More than likely the giveaway has been planned for weeks to compete with the Matrix giveaway that just finished.  But I can't blame them for trying to be slick.
I'm still upset with them that Xecutor 1 isn't flashable despite what all those tables said, and I still think their marketing campaign was sneaky and deceptive concerning the soldering involved, but I guess I'm less mad about how they bashed competitor's decisions and products, as it seems it was only the oppinion of one of them and not the whole team.
I'm making one assumption here...and that's that previous postings of theirs was similar to this one in that it wasn't an official release approved by the Team, but just the oppinion of one member.  If however it is the case that the whole/most of the team is pissed off at Evolution-X dashboard team for included IGR (which only really benefits those consumers, including their own, which can't get new bios), then I'm still pissed at them.
They're off the hook on the new Matrix remarks though.
